Coco Hot Pot

Coco Hot Pot

I love this sign. It tells you so much what you can expect inside.

Well this has been on our list of places to get around to for quite some time.

We hit it up, early per our usual. You know we get to places just at 5pm, if not a little earlier. The staff were quick to seat us and bring us water and the menu.

The menu is set up for beginners, like step one, decide how many broths you want. Step 2, pick your broths. Step 3 pick either combos of meat and veg or individual items on the following pages. It could not be easier to figure out.

There are also stand alone dishes, like you’d find at most Chinese Restaurants, eg. General Tso’s Chicken. But we went for the hot pot. Our broths were Mushroom and Spicy Thai. Both were yummy. We got the beef and veggie combo too. Then availed ourselves of the condiment bar to dress up or individual bowls.

Once you order Hot Pot the food arrives very quickly. Then you just start dropping in what you want to drop in. We did all the veggies then bits of meat so it wouldn’t over cook. It was delicious!

They also had no trouble splitting the bill down the middle and charging us half on our cards.

The dual broth pot. Placed on an electric burner on the table top.

Scott and I both gave it a solid 4. On our rating system that means it was very good. Not quite, “I insist on coming back with everyone I know good.” That would be what 5 stars are for. Is that an us problem or a them problem. IDK. probably us. They were solidly busy by the time we left, so clearly they are well liked.
